The Four Oxen and the Lion
As long as your brave, you can do anything. At first the lion wouldn't try hard enough to attack them, but sooner or later he ended up attacking four oxen, and he was the only lion.
The fisher and the Little Fish
The Fisher and the Little FishIt happened that a Fisher, after fishing all day, caught only a little fish. "Pray, let me go, master," said the Fish. "I am much too small for your eating just now. If you put me back into the river I shall soon grow, then you can make a fine meal off me.""Nay, nay, my little Fish," said the Fisher, "I have you now. I may not catch you hereafter."
Take what you have now, because in the future you might not get anything. The fisher made the right choice to take the small fish, because atleast he had something. Better than nothing, and if he came back later, he might have got nothing at all.

The Crow and the Pitcher
You have to work hard to get what you want. I think the moral of the story is you have to work hard to get what you want because the crow was half dead with thirst. The only way he could survive was if he was full with water. Since he had nobody, he had to do fill up the pitcher with pebbles by himself untill he was full. He worked hard to get what he needed.
The Fox and the Goat
Don't get tricked easily, because in the end your the one who's going to end up getting tricked.
I think this is the lesson because the fox used the goat to get out of the well. The goat got tricked and in the end he's the one whoose going to have to suffer. So make wise decisions, instead of quickly making them.

Ask a Geneticist
Something new and interesting i found out was that chimps and humans are almost so similar they have almost the same genes. There really isn't a relationship between chromosomes and genes. At one point, chimps and humans started out with the same chromosomes, but eventually later in time, some chromosomes were lost, some were gained, and some where copied. But why do humans and chimps look different? Geneticists say that the answer is hidden in the section of the genosome that doesn't code for the genes. Also, genes give instructions on how to make proteins. There are many similarities between animals and humans. So, we can have genes from animals, or animals can have genes from us!

Wooden Bowls
When I finished reading this story, I thought it had such a great meaning to it. If I could relate it to C.A.R.E.S, it would be cooperation. At first, the son and the daughter in law could not cooperate with the grandfather, but then towards the end they learned how to cooperate with him. The son and the daughter in law had to realize that he was an old man and he was slowly falling apart. The son should have realized how much that could hurt his father. On the inside and the outside. But since the grandson told them he was making wooden bowls, the son and the daughter in law learned that cooperation is very important.

Basic Genetics
What I learned about Herdity was that we inherit "traits" from our parents. Humans have two sets of of 23 chromosomes. So when the parents have the child, each set is is given to the child, and that' s how the genes get passed down. A trait is a quality or feature in a person. It is passed down from generation to generation. There are physical traits-they way you look, behavioral trait-the way we act, and medical conditions-such as illnesses or diseases.
